Mamma’s Market is a high quality boutique style market with a focus on handmade, unique items and services catering to pregnancy, baby, childrens and family needs which launched with over 75 stalls in December 2010 in Buderim on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The market is the combined efforts of Buderim-raised sisters Amy Ruediger and Vanessa Portors after searching to find a suitable market to showcase their own wares. With 8 children under the age of 12 between them, they know how important it is to have lovely things for home and family that are stylish, practical and affordable and can all be found in a single shopping experience!

Mamma's Market also has an active presence on the internet and has received an overwhelming response to it's Facebook page with close to 2500 Facebook fans within the first 6 months - another testament to the success of this unique market.

It is more than just another market, it’s a fun experience for the whole family and is fast becoming a whole community event. There’s gourmet food to enjoy, activities for children and live entertainment which all complement the unique wares for sale and contribute to a great atmosphere.

1927 - 20TH ANNIVERSARY ‘ISH’ CELEBRATION
Joe’s Waterhole
Eumundi

It's been 20 years since the Australian band 1927 burst on to the scene with their debut album, selling half a million copies in Australia.

Featuring the hit singles ‘That’s s When I Think Of You€¯, If I Could€¯, You’ll Never Know€¯ and  Compulsory Hero the album’s success was also attributed to well crafted music videos and a relentless touring schedule. Starting out playing pubs and bars around Sydney’s northern beaches, the band soon performed to arena-sized crowds, even crossing the shores to the UK.
A number of Awards were collected along the way including ARIA Awards in 1989 for Breakthrough Artist album (ISH) and single (That’s When I Think Of You€¯). The video for Compulsory Hero won an ARIA award for Best Video, the following year.
Fronted by singer, Eric Weideman, it was founding member and guitarist, Garry Frost who contributed his writing talents to much of the album. Prior to 1927, Garry had a proven track record for penning a hit song or two. As guitarist with 80's Australian rock band Moving Pictures, he wrote ‘What About Me’ which topped the Australian charts (twice!). The long overdue reissue of the ..ISH album will be hot news for fans having not been able to access the album previously digitally, nor physical in form, for over a decade. The special new package will include lyrics, photos and sleeve notes by the band, and producer, Charles Fisher. The album has been digitally remastered and contains two previously unreleased live tracks.
..ISH is one of the highest selling debut albums ever by an Australian band with their songs, to this day, remaining a radio favorite.

Colin Hay
Gathering Mercury Tour
The Events Centre, Caloundra
7pm Dinner for an 8pm Show

The Events Centre, Caloundra & Fleming Artists Presents Colin Hay as he returns to Australia as part of his Gathering Mercury Tour.

As frontman and principle songwriter for 80’s hit machine Men at Work, Colin Hay is responsible for one of the most identifiable sounds in pop music.

He may be best known as the lead singer for Men At Work but he feels that his new album is the best he’s ever done.

Inspired by the loss of his father, Gathering Mercury reveals Hay’s emotional depth and musical diversity all the while captivating listeners with his usual optimism and quizzical, instantly recognizable voice.

Colin will perform songs from his new album in a night of sidesplitting random comedy, as well as selections from his solo albums and fan favorites from the past.

Hay is at the absolute peak of his craft. As a writer and vocalist, he has never been more masterful.

Hay is funnier than most stand-up comedians, so he’ll split your sides and then drop a heartbreaking ditty on you.
- The Houston Chronicle

Gathering Mercury, his 11th solo release, contains some of the finest songs he has ever written.€¯
- Tony Hillier , The Australian
