Since the first settlers arrived over 140 years ago, Buderim has always been a
place of incredible community spirit. That is one of Buderim’s main attractions – you can’t put your finger on it exactly. It’s a feeling of something special, intangible, yet very real, the sort
of community spirit that gets things done by working together to benefit the whole community.
If Buderim could bottle its recipe for community spirit, every town would want some. It’s the people that make the difference – & Buderim residents are a
dedicated bunch that focus on a task, & get it done because they want to. There is often no financial gain, just satisfaction of a job well done & Buderim always does it so well. You’d be
hard pressed to find many communities in Australia like it. It is truly unique. Like the Olympic volunteers, Buderim residents volunteer their time & services to help Buderim grow on a daily basis.
To live here gives one a great sense of belonging, fulfillment & pride & it’s a pleasure to be part of this wonderful community full of interesting characters from all corners of the globe, keen to
work together for the common good, to help others, as well as share their wit, intelligence & wisdom along the way.
